Terms of Service

Effective date: November 6, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of justtextandy.com, our customer and business portals, and Andy, our automated home-services assistant. The service is operated by Handy for Homes LLC, doing business as Handy Andy (“Handy Andy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. SMS permission is collected separately.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18, able to enter a binding agreement, and authorized to request work at the service location. Use a U.S. phone number you own or are authorized to use. Provide accurate information, protect verification codes and account credentials, and tell us promptly if your number changes or is reassigned. Business users must be authorized to act for their company.

2. What Handy Andy does

Andy helps you describe a home-service need, find providers, and arrange appointments when supported. Handy Andy is a booking and communication platform; independent contractors perform the work. Services and features depend on provider participation, coverage, qualifications, availability, and active integrations.

When no eligible network company is available, Andy may share public business information and help you contact a company yourself. Providing those details does not mean Andy contacted the company or booked an appointment. A self-arranged job does not automatically receive Andy’s booking, calendar, or follow-through features.

3. Recommendations and qualifications

Recommendations may consider service fit, coverage, available credential information, internal feedback, Google ratings and review counts, availability, and commercial factors such as a company’s booking bid. Businesses may pay Handy Andy for confirmed bookings. That payment is not the customer’s job price.

Ratings, public listings, and uploaded documents can be incomplete or outdated. “Network” participation alone is not a guarantee of licensing, insurance, a background check, work quality, or suitability. Any verification description applies only to the checks specifically stated. Confirm qualifications, written scope, pricing, permits, and warranties with the provider before authorizing work.

4. Requests, confirmation, and job charges

A conversation, recommendation, proposed time, or calendar connection is not a confirmed appointment. Review the provider, date, time zone, service address, scope, and any disclosed charges before approving a booking. Treat an appointment as booked only when the platform explicitly confirms it. Changes remain subject to availability.

Unless we expressly present a separate payment arrangement, the contractor quotes and collects payment for the work. Agree on pricing, visit fees, cancellation charges, and the work to be performed directly with the contractor. Handy Andy does not authorize an undisclosed customer charge.

Tell Andy promptly if you need to cancel or reschedule a supported booking, and check that the change is confirmed. For self-arranged jobs, contact the business directly. A platform cancellation does not eliminate a contractor charge you separately agreed to.

5. Addresses, calendars, and reminders

You are responsible for confirming the service address, including any unit and access instructions. GPS and map results can be inaccurate. Sharing device location is optional; you may type a different address. Andy may retain your confirmed address for future requests, which you can ask to change.

Google Calendar access is optional and requires separate Google authorization. With permission, supported features check selected calendars for conflicts and create or update Andy appointment events. Without a connection, you can provide availability by text. Calendar updates may fail or be delayed; check important details and report missing events.

Supported service reminders may include appointment updates, completion checks, review requests, and maintenance reminders appropriate to the service. Maintenance intervals are general suggestions, not professional advice or a substitute for manufacturer instructions, inspections, or your contractor’s recommendations. You can ask Andy to change or stop reminders.

6. Handy Andy SMS program

After you opt in, Handy Andy may send automated texts for account verification, your conversations and service requests, booking confirmations and changes, appointment and maintenance reminders, completion checks, review requests, and support. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Consent is specific to Handy Andy’s disclosed program and is not permission for contractor marketing. Promotional messages require any separate consent required by law; agreement to these Terms alone does not provide it. Consent is not a condition of purchasing contractor services, although the SMS channel requires messaging permission.

Reply STOP to unsubscribe. You may receive one opt-out confirmation. Further program texts stop unless you opt in again. Stopping texts does not itself cancel a booking or close your account; contact support if needed. To rejoin, use an available opt-in method such as START or complete a fresh signup with consent.

Reply HELP for help, or email justtextandy@gmail.com. Messaging availability and delivery depend on your device, carrier, and other providers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

7. Business accounts and booking credits

Participating businesses are responsible for accurate profiles, service areas, credentials, licensing and insurance where required, published hours, capacity, minimum notice, and booking bids. Keep these current and honor appointments the platform confirms within the availability you publish.

Where enabled, businesses may purchase prepaid credits for Handy Andy booking fees. A confirmed booking deducts the applicable agreed cost per booking (CPB). Account credits pay for platform services; they are not a deposit toward the customer’s contractor invoice, a bank account, or transferable cash.

An eligible customer cancellation before the appointment’s scheduled start restores the applicable booking fee as account credit; it does not automatically refund the business’s card or other payment method. Contact support about disputed charges, unused balances, or other refund requests. Separate purchase terms and mandatory legal rights apply where relevant.

Business notification preferences and any business SMS consent are collected separately. Low-balance alerts are informational; a business must monitor its balance. Insufficient credits may prevent new paid bookings.

8. Reviews, referrals, and acceptable use

Submit honest feedback about your own experience. Do not post unlawful, threatening, discriminatory, misleading, or infringing content, impersonate others, misuse verification codes, or interfere with the service. You allow us to store and use submitted feedback to provide the service and improve recommendations, subject to our Privacy Policy and any sharing choices presented to you.

If we offer a referral program, the offer’s eligibility, reward amount, and qualification rules govern. A signup alone does not earn a reward unless the offer says so. A qualifying service must be booked through Handy Andy and satisfy the stated completion requirements; bookings independently arranged with outside businesses do not qualify. Fraudulent or duplicate referrals may be rejected.

9. Automation, emergencies, and third parties

Andy uses AI and automated workflows and can misunderstand requests or provide inaccurate information. Ask for clarification and review important details. Do not use Andy for emergencies, dangerous troubleshooting, or time-critical safety assistance. Contact emergency services or the appropriate utility directly when needed.

Contractor work, Google services, payment processing, and other third-party services may have separate terms. We do not control their availability or independently guarantee their performance. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled.

10. Service limitations and responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, the platform is provided “as available,” without a guarantee of uninterrupted access, a particular provider, a specific result, or error-free communications. You and the contractor are responsible for the work agreement between you. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded, or limits responsibility for fraud, willful misconduct, or other non-excludable conduct.

11. Suspension, changes, and contact

We may suspend misuse, respond to security risks, or discontinue unavailable features, subject to existing obligations and applicable law. We will post revised Terms with an updated effective date and provide additional notice or seek agreement when required. Changes do not substitute for separate messaging or Google authorization. Terms in effect when you approve a transaction govern that transaction unless you agree otherwise.
